Eulia Baranovsky

Eulia, a native Belarussian has began her training at the age of 5 with ice dancing followed by ballet, jazz, and competitive ballroom dancing. Eulia is a Professional Ballroom Dancer, Coach and Adjudicator.



She has performed at the International Dance Festival in Vail, Steps on Broadway, the Westchester Theater in New York, the Mohegan Sun Casino and TV-ESPN. Eulia has been a guest instructor at The Juilliard School and Cornell University.



Steven Dougherty

Steven has been ballroom dancing since the age of thirteen. He was an amateur U.S. Ten Dance Champion as well as a U.S. Standard Champion. He represented the U.S. in World Championships in Singapore and Germany and was a U.S. Dance Ambassador to the Soviet Union.

As a professional, he has won over 40 regional titles and was a U.S. Rising Star Smooth Champion. He has been a five-time U.S. Open Smooth Finalist, World Open Smooth Finalist, and with Eulia Baranovsky was the 2007 World American Smooth Showdance Champion.

He is a nationally certified adjudicator and has judged many prestigious events around the country including the United States Dancesport Championships, Ohio Star Ball, and the USA Dance National Championships.

Steven has many choreography credits most notably “Romeo and Juliet” for The Juilliard School in New York, NY where he is also currently a faculty member in the drama division. Steven has performed at Carnegie Hall, Mohegan Sun Casino and the Vail International Dance Festival. He has appeared on All My Children and CBS’s As the World Turns. Steven is also the co-owner of the Metropolitan Dance Center in Stamford, Connecticut.

Couple's Career Highlights

Steven Dougherty and Eulia Baranovsky were U.S. American Smooth finalists and the 2007 World American Smooth Showdance Champions. They have also performed together on ABC's Good Morning America and PBS's "America's Ballroom Challenge"
