Joanna Leunis

Joanna was born in Rocourt Liege,Belgium.

Ambitious, persistent and extremely skillful, she became the youngest ever World Amateur Latin Champion at 18. Millions of famous spins later, she proudly wears the crown of the queen of Professional Latin Dance. Although she is a World Champion and one of the most successful dancers in history, she modestly claims that audience appreciation is the ultimate reward. In a past interview, she said: "The essence of dancing is this unique feeling, when you see people experiencing the deepest emotions expressed in your body movements. I hope it happens every time I am on the dance floor."

Joanna had several partners before Michael, including Slavik Kryklyvyy, with whom she won the World Amateur Latin Championships.

Michael Malitowski

Michael was born in Zielona Gora, Poland.

As a child he just couldn't stay still. No wonder that dancing came to him naturally at the age of 8 and it quickly became his way of life. Always true to himself, Michael based his innovative, holistic style on total harmony of psychical and physical aspects of dancing. As an artist, Michael values aesthetics and audience feelings the most. "Competing through performing has made all my dreams come true," claims World Professional Latin Champion.

Prior to dancing with Joanna, Michael won the Polish Latin Championships four times with Iwona Golczak.

Couple's Career Highlights

Together, Michael and Joanna have won every major world title, including the World Professional Latin Championships, the European Championships, the UK Open, the International Championships, the British Open, and the Polish Championships.
